What can Small Businesses do for Europe

Every year the UK Government and the EU produce policies that directly or indirectly affect small business. As the biggest representative body for small business in the UK and FSB policy team lobbies to lessen the impact of legislation for small business and to represent small business views in Westminster, Whitehall and Brussels. Please use the links on the left to see whats going on in the different policy areas.

Our Campaigns

Keep Trade Local
Keep Trade Local
The UK is losing 2000 local shops each year. It is estimated that by 2015 there will be no independent retailers in the UK. This amounts to the closure of over 50,000 small businesses. We believe that government and local authorities could enact simple policies to reverse the decline of the local high street. More

The FSB has launched a national campaign and petition to save our local shops. You can also join the "Keep UK Trade Local" group on Facebook.

Every Crime Every Time
Every Crime - Every Time
Crime against business makes up a significant 20% or the 'forgotten fifth' of all recorded crime. Worringly, only 1 in 8 incidents are actually reported. Crime against business has an impact on business productivity, staff morale and the communities they support. Follow this link to find out more.
