FSB launches Welsh Local Government Manifesto
With the local Council elections on the hoizon the FSB Welsh Policy Unit have launched the Manifesto for the Local Authority Election 2008. Attended by representatives of the Welsh Local Government Association the launch, at City Hall, Cardiff, took place on 15th April "This Manifesto is the result of months of painstaking work by the Policy team , on behalf of FSB members here in Wales" explains Janet Jones, the Welsh Policy Chair, "we intend to use it to call for a better deal for small businesses who are now the main drivers in our country's economy". The Ind South Wales motion was successful and our Chairman Mr Gethin Williams delivered the closing speech to promote next years Conference in Newport.
BSBC Nominations Closed, Welsh hopefuls eagerly await results
With nominations for the prestigeous awards now closed the Judges are busily sifting through the hundreds of Small Business hopefuls. The Regional Awards ceremony and Dinner will take place on 10th July at the St Davids Hotel and Spa in Cardiff Bay. Watch this space for announcements.
