N
North Yorkshire Region

The North Yorkshire Region has five branches with over 3200 members and provides support and advice to small business. Nationally there are 210.000 members of the FSB with 33 Regions & 230 Branches.

Each year we elect from our membership Officers to represent the FSB in the region. We meet with our members regularly to get their views on the business issues that affect them. Our regional lobbying arm applies pressure via our Regional Committee, Regional Area Policy Unit and Branches directly approaching MPs, Government, lobbying local politicians and regularly putting the FSB viewpoint over to the media.

Our membership is diverse. Unlike other business associations it is the people in those businesses who make up our members not the business. We represent a wide variety of sectors and categories from shops, pubs, haulage, accountants, solicitors, management consultants to taxidermists! In fact our members are in just about every kind of small business that you can think of.
